Datacryptor Unit
The datacryptor unit
is a purpose made tempest cabinet manufactured to house
two Thales Datacryptor 2000 units.
It has two cooling fans
and can be set for one or both
to operate. Power is filtered into the cabinet through
external leads fitted directly to the unit. To send/receive
data the unit is fitted with tapped holes allowing fibre
optic cables to be secured into it.
A perspex window
enables the status of the unit to be monitored at all
times. The unit also contains a
pointer stick to erase data.
